if you haven't heard of Polymath Network, I highly recommend taking a look

Polymath is tackling security tokens and helping them migrate to the blockchain.

What Ethereum did to allow applications to be built onto their platform with the ERC-20 , Polymath will do with allowing Security Tokens to be offered and traded by using their ST-20 coin.

Polymath is trading right now for slightly less than $1.

Polymath has a list of fantastic advisors such as Patrick Byrne (Overstock), Steven Nerayoff (Alchemist), Erik Voorhees (Shapeshift), and several, several others.

I highly recommend giving their whitepaper a read and checking the 'deck' that they have available: https://polymath.network/

I very rarely ever throw any money into altcoins. I suppose I'd consider myself a maximalist. But when I got word of this project a few weeks ago and did some research, I was blown away by not only the project and goals, but the team, as well. I think they have a lot they can accomplish. And it's only $1 right now.

I personally see Polymath as being similar to Ethereum when it was $1.

My 2018 EOY projection for price is $5 per POLY. (conservative)

My 2020 projection, if they can bring in the trillions of dollars worth of security tokens that they say they can do, is $100+ per POLY (again, conservative).

disclaimer: I do have a position in POLY as I see this project as something that is still very much under the radar and has some huge potential.
