Bitcoin micropayments are already available in the web browser Brave

But it is precisely this new type of micropayments with bitcoins, which has opened the interest of the industry in this Brave bet. Because it is a mechanism where the web browser allows users to choose based on a dollar amount (although I paid bitcoins), which will be distributed every 30 days in proportion to all web sites that the user has visited around that time, according to the frequency and time navigation.

Micropayments in Bitcoins of Brave
The browser has integrated bitcoins portfolios that allow users to deposit base that will be distributed to websites you visit in the next 30 days amount. Currently the minimum is $ 5, but users can add more if desired.

Upon completion of the 30-days days Brave called "contribution date" - the amount accumulated in the portfolios will be distributed to the web portals automatically but not fair. To do this, Brave has developed a calculation scheme that determines the percentage that corresponds to each website depending on the time you visit a page and the time you invest in it.

For convenience, Brave also allows users to disable micropayments for certain websites. This in case you do not want to give back with some. The following image taken from the tab "Preferences" browser, best illustrates the distribution of micropayments:

Payments to websites are notified to both portal administrator and the domain owner by e-mail, which is a good strategy Brave and invite the web portals that are unaware of this feature to download the browser and enjoying her.

Thinking of new users and system robustness, Brave has announced alliances with the exchange house Coinbase to provide quick service buying bitcoins to users, as well as the security company BitGo to ensure the use of multifirm portfolios to give greater security transfers.

Further information on the operation of the micropayments with bitcoins Brave, is exposed on its website.

BRAVE BUSINESS MODEL CHANGES IN INTERNET CONTENT
So far, the business model of other companies advertising on websites is predominant. However, the arrival of Bitcoin has led to the creation of other models where direct payments between content creators and consumers become more important. Examples are some technology-based DECENT blockchain as Steem and platforms, using their own criptomonedas seek to popularize this model on the Internet.

Brave however does not create a peer-to-peer network decentralized, but uses the browser as the basic tool to provide a way to enjoy Internet without the need to see third party advertisements while returning value to creators and publishers content for their work. In this way, it manages to establish a new business model where users and creators are directly benefited.

You should not have to pay anything to avoid bad ads, of course. But if your favorite sites rely on advertising revenue, now you have a way to help everyone, efficiently and in private, while blocking the ads.
Brendan Eich
CEO, Brave Software Inc

The words of the CEO of Brave make it clear that the company does not seek to harm the websites whose monetary income worth of advertising, but rather establishes a new mechanism where payments do not come solely from advertising programs, but also of consumers .

With the arrival of the micropayments with bitcoins Brave's web browser, the company has thus fulfilled one of its objectives and expected promises. We will now see what other features provide future plans for Bitcoin user community and the Internet in general.

Browser seems to be working ok for me. I have had no problems viewing Steemit or YouTube and other common websites. Brave got plenty of VC money to make this fly. There is some good indication that the Opera browser is going to do the same. It also added a free VPN for browsing.

I posted this on Twitter earlier today and it has been the most popular Tweet of mine in a while:

I can remember when I first got into Bitcoin in 2013, one of the things touted was it would solve the problem of micropayments and help content creators begin to receive fair value for their creations. This is some incredible news.

I have upvoted this post and will feature it in my daily hidden gems blog. Awesome find and great news for content creators everywhere.
