while I think the continual forks right now are causing damage to the bitcoin and crypto scene in general, this won't be the death of bitcoin, it's easy to see how much less of an affect bitcoin gold has had than bitcoin cash did, over time each one will be more and more insignificant, till eventually a bitcoin fork will ignored and seem as stupid as much as some random person claiming they had made dollar gold, a fork of the USD.
