Hey guys, today I´m going to share with you some prediction regarding Bitcoin and all the forks for the next year by Mr Web Bot aka Clif High and here is todays Agenda:
Short intro on Clif High

So, who is this Clif High?
He is the inventor of the Web Bot and he is a former Software Engineer Contractor for Microsoft. According to Wikipedia he invented this program back in 1997. Here is the Wiki:
"Web Bot is an internet bot computer program whose developers claim is able to predict future events by tracking keywords entered on the internet. It was developed in 1997, originally to predict stock market trends."
And here is Clif´s own description of predictive linguistics:
"Predictive Linguistics is the process of using computer software to aggregate vast amounts of written text from the internet by categories delineated by emotional content of the words and using the result to make forecasts based on the emotional 'tone' changes within the larger population.
A form of 'collective sub-conscious expression' is a good way to think of it. Predictive linguistics can be used to forecast trends at many different levels, from the detail of sales to individuals, all the way up to forecasts about emerging global population trends."
What do I think about Clif High?
- Followed him for 2 years
- Many of his predictions has been very accurate, especially for Bitcoin
- He is very knowledgeable in cryptos, internet, politics, history, space
- Some weird predictions about UFO´s/aliens (but they are fun/intriguing, take them with a grain of salt)
- Obviously he is sometimes wrong, I am expecting that, nobody can predict the future by 100% or even close, but I wouldnt be following him if he missed a lot of things
- I have purchased some of his reports, they are very interesting. (he offer a full refund, no questions asked)
- He has talked a lot about Veritaseum and Populous.
- I made a 10x Return on Investment on Veritaseum and so far a 3x on Populous

So, here is the clip where he is discussing the future price of Bitcoin:
(starts at 22:00 min)
Now, lets break this down and look at Bitcoin Predictions:
February of 2018 = 13880 USD (Lots of 8´s here and that is because Chinese people are very fond of the number 8 and he is getting a lot of data from China)
Clif High does not have any data for February regarding Bitcoin Cash or Bitcoin Gold.
Mid Summer/Late Summer of 2018 = 40000 USD Combined (Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Bitcoin Gold)
My Suggestions based on his data:
Bitcoin: 20000
Bitcoin Cash: 15000
Bitcoin Gold: 5000 (Could be a lot lower, but lets just use 5000 as an example)
Total: 40000
There you have it, I dont think these prices are outrageous and I agree with him that next year will be the big year for cryptos, we are at the beginning of the hockey stick blade (here in 2017) so to speak:
I'm surprised no one has asked Clif High if government had him do programming for terrorism. The fact that he worked for Microsoft at the beginning of internet wide adoption and focusing on emotion I can see the government definetly wanting the software.
I take his advice with a grain of salt but always want his advice.

It's always good to be skeptic. I personally think BCH will overtake BTC at least on 2019 if it doesn't happen on 2018. A friend of mine shared this reddit post and I think it's a must read: https://www.reddit.com/r/CryptoCurrency/comments/7cyz5m/confessions_of_a_core_supporter/?st=ja0a5qxi&sh=a80d949e
I still think Bitcoin is overrated and the next year will be a year for Alt-coins. EOS will definitely attract Billions and Billions. Chinese non-currency coins will thrive when China has set up the regulations. Ultimately BTC market value will shrink greatly as people learn more about the tech and slowly get away from hype. If that doesn't happen, brace for a tulip crash and get ready to buy great coins for cheap prices.

Very good read indeed. How would you characterize these core developers politically? Are they leaning left, or whats their deal really?

Personally I believe the point of politics is making sure that we require minimum with it. It was Ayn Rand believed and great historical figures I greatly respect such as Lao Tzu and especially Buddha expressed similar sentiments. I mostly stay away from politics and I don't pay much attention to BTC as I see no future in it. I've only been on cryptospcae since mid 2017 and I did my first trade on Aug 1st.
From my limited experience it's clear that the Bitcoin devs use the commie tactics. They are a bunch of people who were little late to party. I remember Roger Ver accusing someone that he didn't join when Satoshi invited before even BTC was created and later joined in after BTC hit $1000 and now act all mighty.
I've seen lots of collectivism and maximalist beliefs. They have lots of dogma and blindly follow arbitrary notions such as "decentralization" at times without even backing there arguments with proof. An increase of block size by 1MB will cost less than $20 per node per year. With future developments this will be a minor cost. I've kind of ridiculed it here.
The closest description I can find is the oxymoron that is anarcho-communism. I've been accused of many things for calling out on this BS Even after quoting this great economist:https://mises.org/blog/abcs-market-economy
anarcho-communism is an oxymoron. Period. Read the above article by Henry Hazlitt. BTC devs seems to be on board with this ridiculous camp. If you wonder why they don't get anything done, it's probably because they are a cocktail of conflicting ideologies. Dogma and collectivism reinforced with trolling and censorship isn't free market. But they are attempting to create free market products.
Hope that wasn't too long :-)

Interesting thoughts regarding collectivism and maximalist beliefs. I will try to read that piece from Hazlitt when I have time. But I do think that Jeff Berwick summed it up pretty good when he described core developers:
"No offense, but I know techies. They are wonderful and incredibly necessary to design code.
But, when it comes to understanding how life works, economics, money, marketing or even how to pick up girls… well, forget about it."

That's an excellent quote. Being around smart people all my life, I can say that the quote describe 99% of them. I was one of the top students too. I know about 1-2 people who doesn't fit the above description. But every other techy, math/science guy......... It's exactly what the quote describe.

I havent heard anything about that, so dont know.
Yup, I dont think anybody should trust him blindly, but listen to the guy and make up your own mind. He is very entertaining and one of the best when it comes to predict Bitcoin.
