Portfolio update: week 6 2018steemCreated with Sketch.

Did not really had the intention to update my portfolio but what has to be done, has to be done.

There weren't any changes in the coins in my portfolio. I guess this is for the first time since the beginning of 2018. I will not purchase any new coins this week. Maybe the week after when the pay check has arrived.
We slowly see the portfolio recover but it still has a long way to go.
All time low was on the 6th of February when the portfolio was 50% less worth then now.

Market share

NEO still has the proud lead but suddenly Oyster jumped to place 2. Even had the number 1 spot for a day.

Oyster

Well oyster did launch a successful testnet at the end of January. It will delivered on time and with the desired quality. But the biggest surprise was announced this week that they will introduce a new token. Besides PRL (pearl) they will launch SHL (Shell). The pearls will be used for for static data retention on the tangle and shells for the connectivity and usage of Dapps.
Add to this the coinburn on the 1ste of March and it will be interesting times for Oyster.

NEO

Not only Oyster will give me some free coins but also NEO will. For each NEO everybody will receive 0.2 ONT. 50% will be freely tradable, the other 50% will be fixed until the mainnet of Ontology is released (expected in Q2 2018).

Keep the faith,
Peter

No ethereum or steem?

No Ethereum. Consider it too expensive at the moment and I'm gambling on NEO.
Steem, only the one which I do mine here at Steemit.

Nice breakdown, and nicely formed portfolio mate. I strongly agree with: NEO , XLM, KCS - these are great for medium, to longer term holding (1-2 years).

Indeed. I do try to set up a business plan for each coin but it is difficult to decide when to sell!

I think the best take is, in advance (or when bought) to know how much profits is ok from each particular coin:

  1. do you want a short trade: +5/+10%
  2. do you want a bigger gain and can wait: +20/+50%
  3. can you wait longer term, and want 10x / 50x / 100x returns.

Important that when the coin reaches those limits: to execute the sale. Other wise, it is hare emotionally if the coin would start moving even slitly down.

Thanks for that ! I came up with a review of the best softwares to track your crypto portfolio hopefully it could be of some use !
