Aloha!
About two years ago I launched Hawaii's only Bitcoin ATM. A fun project that taught me all the wonderful joys of working with hardware with no technical support and the fun that can be found when dealing with the local bureaucracy.
This year I chose to create Honolulu's first blockchain / digital asset focused company. I had been having so much success in the digital asset markets that it only seemed natural to scale up as far as the local investment community would allow. The idea being the earnings from my investment activities could fund other projects I had in mind, while also supporting the continued expansion of blockchain based platforms (like Steemit!).
At first, I thought I would only raise capital from my friends and family. A thousand here, a thousand there... but that was wrought with problems and was of course, too slow. So I was forced to ramp up my fund-raising which in turn bumped me into all sorts of regulatory and legal concerns. Why it costs 10s of thousands of dollars to allow people to come together to invest is beyond me but suffice to say, the most expensive thing I ever bought was the legal documentation that allowed me to begin really fund raising in my community.
I'm mid-stride in my seed round (I'm at 50% of our current target) and I realized I should probably start documenting this process in case anyone else wanted to join the fight later on. At this stage, I'm more or less reduced to a beggar going around with my cup out but once I hit my funds limit I am off to the races.
I also don't know if I'm going to succeed wildly or fall flat on my face. Managing 10s of thousands of you own dollars is obviously different than moving hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of dollars around in the system... but I'm up for the challenge and I'm up for letting everyone know if I fail or succeed.
Wish me luck! (or don't that's cool too. Everyone loves watching someone crash and burn, I suppose)
Well the logo is nice! But what does it represent ? A network ? People with an twisted set of mind could say it represent a pyramidal organisation, like a Ponzi scheme, just saying ;p
Anyway Best of luck!

Just a pretentious "A" for Anatha at the end of the day. Anatha is short for "Anathapindika" , one of Buddha chief disciples. He was a kind fo bohdisattva of business, known for constructing businesses that uplifted whole communities. I'm hoping the name will help remind me why I'm doing all this from time to time.
