Serious. So many forks? When I see all those forks I'm instantly doubting why so many forks are necessary. I would like to read more about it..

    The main reason it's just a way to create a coin that is useless but that makes you rich in a very short term.

    Fortunately, some forks (like Litecoin or Bitcoin Cash) are necessary because the Bitcoin Core team does not accept to upgrade the main chain.
