Which BTC exchanges will be supporting BCC? Not many - Full List Inside.

in bitcoin •  7 years ago

Just stumbled upon this excellent article from Crypto Mining Blog which included a list of exchanges and their position regarding BCC

I'm posting it here as an "ICYMI" kinda thing. Hopefully people find it useful.

Here is the full list:

Crypto Exchanges and BCC support:

– Coinbase – no BCC support for now
– Poloniex – no initial BCC support, may add it later
Kraken – will provide BCC coins and offer trading
– Bitstamp – no initial BCC support
Bittrex – will credit BCC, may add trading
– GDAX – no initial BCC support
Bitfinex – will be distributing BCC, no information on trading
– Gemini – no initial BCC support
– Shapeshift – no initial BCC support
– Cryptopia – no initial BCC support

Some thoughts

I find it interesting that people have been leaving many ALT coins, dropping their value and increasing BTC, but it may also be interesting to watch where people are putting their BTC over the next few days too.

The safest bet is probably a HWW, but if people who want BCC begin shifting their coins to exchanges that will be supporting BCC, could we also a shift in where the majority of trading takes place?

Not giving users BCC could perhaps prove costly to some of the exchanges over the next couple days if people move their coins to Kraken, Bittrex and Bitfinex.

What do you think will happen?

Could there be a shift in the exchange market?

Let me know in the comments!

Hi,

Many exchanges are probably waiting to see rising volumes on exchanges where BCC will be added/traded. Once convinced they may add BCC. But currently the future looks too bleak for BCC as many miners won't disrupt their block revenue from BTC. I see it fading away. Its a gimmick by Ver and Jihan that may not achieve its height of prejudice.

On a second note people should not even be selling alts in loss to get a BCC trade as it wont yield anything. When all of us know that smart money is flowing into alts if not by u and me but someone is buying if one of us is selling, I would call us foolish to sell alts at losses. Now is the real time to accumulate good coins with sound technology, POC's and a promising future.

Regards

Great comment @aakeelr!

I agree with you that it could be foolish to think that BCC will be profitable. It will either be a solid competitor (not sure I see that), go the way of ETC and be like a "younger brother" kind of coin, or completely crash.

On the topic of ALTs. I posted something along those lines yesterday: https://steemit.com/cryptocurrency/@futuristgear/while-a-lot-of-people-sell-thier-alts-i-think-i-might-buy-some

I certainly won't be selling ALTs just to get some BCC. But if anyone's selling? ;-)

@futuristgear Thanks for the tip on my biohacking article. When I up voted it your comment disappeared. It still shows on my reply feed but but when i click the link to take me to the comment its not there. There has been some strange stuff going on since i posted that article. Maby your comment will show back up soon.

No problem! :-)

I'm getting similar things happen too, some comments I've upvoted weren't showing my vote. But when I clicked to vote again it said; "you have already voted on this similarly" so maybe it's just a bug or something.

Agree with your other comment too! Some kind of blockchain based research platform could be very interesting for sure.

BCC will probably be a kind of ETC. Not a dud but not stellar either.

That could be true @wekkel, @bobreedo (hope I got his username correct) mentioned the same thing yesterday.
