The first time I wrote about NEO it was still Antshares and trading at $5.75.
I concluded: At a $288 million market cap as I write, it’s a steal.
Then I wrote about NEO]( https://steemit.com/bitcoin/@g-dubs/neo-is-up-99-400-in-2017-is-it-still-a-buy) again at $15.06.
In that article I concluded: It should be a top 5 crytpo, implying 3-10x gains from here.
Now we’re around $45 per NEO, hence the question, is the run over?
One way to think about this is to compare to Ethereum. Right now Ethereum trades at a market cap of roughly $30 billion. NEO is similar to Ethereum, but not as far along. So let’s assume NEO might be worth 25% of Ethereum. That would put NEO at a $7.5 billion valuation and a price of $150, or a triple from here.
DApps and ICOs are coming to NEO. AdEx just announced it would become the first dApp based on NEO and will port over to NEO from Ethereum.
AdEx (ADX) is another crypto I’ve written about. You can find that article here. At the time ADX was trading at $0.13, now it’s over $0.80. One of the key takeaways from the article – Jihan Wu is a strategic partner.
Besides dApps and ICOs there’s even bigger news. Chinese authorities are secretly forming partnerships with NEO. They’re working with certificate authorities to tie real-world assets to NEO and smart contracts.
You can find all the details here.
So is the run over for NEO? No!

Looking back 3 years from now I think we will see NEO is still in the early stages of its growth cycle. As always in a bull market with good tech buy the dips.

NEO is just getting started. Just buy as much as you can, put it in your own wallet and go away for 3 years. Then come back, open up your wallet collect your GAS, look at what your NEO is worth, look at what your GAS is worth and pick your jaw up off the floor when you realize what you're now worth.

Yes I agree with you, I have been chatting with some guy on the Ethereum facebook group - he seems unsure about NEO. I mentioned aside from the countless very positive bullish fundamental developments - technically speaking, if you did an overlay of the recent chart of NEO going from 8 to 45, comparing it to the beginning of the Etherium run starting this last March/April, well the charts would not look identical, but VERY similar. Folks what we have here is ETH 2.0.... it wasn't good enough to catch a ride from 18 to 363 in one year, now we can do it again@ as it is happening as we speak. I have been advising my friends who are into Crypto (all 5 or them lol) to dollar cost average into this baby. this one has legs and wants to run. The Chinese are very loyal and will want to support this Asian "Eth" - they have a wallet that pays dividends, some sort of POS deal whether is is neo coins or gas, I'm not clear yet, plus they are sitting on another 50MM coins to be used to harness the best of the best - basically building an amazing programmer and development team that will hopefully learn from the scalability and other issues Ethereum has had difficulty with as it's platform for ICOs has skyrocketed. Also the coins will be used for marketing - honestly I am not sure entire what, but they supposedly are being careful to not "flood" the market with these additional coins. And there is plenty of room in the space for another ICO oriented protocol style coin. They already have relationships with major companies such as Microsoft, and I am sure other huge Chinese companies like Alibaba, Baidu - or they will soon. Bottom line is I agree with you, I've been in pretty decent size since 8-10 and still buying little bits here and there, because I believe by years end, NEO will sit at #3 in the MarketCap rankings behind just BTC and ETH. Thanks for the post, upvoted, resteemed, and following. Peace @cryptoted

No surprise an ETH fan is unsure of NEO but no reason why both can't succeed.
When you hold NEO in a wallet you earn GAS. Ultimately there will be same supply of NEO and GAS, but for now GAS will be in short supply. A buy imo. The question is how much is GAS worth as a % of NEO... I'm not sure.
As for the 50m remaining NEO, that's for people who build on the platform, a win-win.
I'm in and hodling. Cheers!

Thanks for the insights g-dubs ... I'm holding 8 tokens I got at $35 and, given the slow decline this week, have been wondering where this token/company is going. Sounds like I should just sit back and hold on to them and relax ... :-)

Thank you. I agree with your analysis. Be that as it may, it's still hard to buy it, when prices were so low just recently. But hey, that's just human psychology.

True on the bitcoin and hackers but overall the criminal element still prefers good old fashioned cash.
Those hackers should really want Monero but maybe it's too complicated for the victims.

NEO isn't over at all.. It's consolidating but I see it running up to $80-100 before the end of the year. In my opinion NEO should be approximately at 50% the market value of Ethereum (which is further along, first mover advantage, etc.). So there is still quite a lot of growth in the short to medium term. Long term I think NEO will reach the same level as Ethereum is, 20-30 billion USD in about a year. Ethereum will still be worth more at that point, but NEO will have a bigger growth in % for sure.

Nice article. I fully understand what you're talking about. The real risk lies in the fact that the market is so irrational. I found this great website: https://www.coincheckup.com I'm really enthusiastic about this site, they let you analyze every single coin out there.
