The Tap Project is a decentralized, transferable, multi-platform in-game cryptocurrency that utilizes the Ethereum network.
It was originally going to start a crowdsale on July 30 but decided to push it back to Q4 2017.
First, I really like the gaming industry as a natural fit for cryptocurrencies. You have both a tech savvy crowd and in-game currencies are already used in most games.
The Tap Project is attempting to solve the problem of having to manage all those in-game currencies.
Using the Tap Project dashboard you can access all your in-game currencies and evaluate them in a single currency, the Tap Coin (TTT).
If it all works as plans then the Tap Coin can follow you to any game or device, your hard work will never be locked up in one game, and you can make money as Tap Coins are tradeable on the exchanges.
The Tap Project should benefit developers as well since they’ll be able to focus more on the gaming experience rather than how they will reach their audience.
This is a very interesting project. I’m keeping my eye out for details on the upcoming ICO.
