Free BitCoin 101: The Good Part 1

in bitcoin •  7 years ago  (edited)

So, I've spent the past couple of months getting my feet wet in the cryptocurrency market. I have bought into BitCoin and made a few purchases when the price was low and all-in-all, I've made a return on my cash investments.

That's all fine and well but like many of you, I was interested in learning more about the growing number of sites that offer services such as coin faucets, games, lotteries, cloud mining and so on and so forth. I wanted to find out as much as I could about which ones were legit, which were scams and which ones might just be a waste of time even if they are paying.

A lot of people are into survey sites and spending hours each day earning a few dollars here and there by doing tasks, clicking links and various other things you can do online to get some micro kickbacks for your trouble.

Today, I am starting a series of posts about my findings in the hopes that you might find the resources useful in your hunt for a little bit of BTC or alt coins.

These lists will be ever-evolving as crypto-earning sites come and go everyday dependant on the market as well as revenue that comes mostly from advertising and referrals. With that being said, the first of likely many posts will give a quick rundown of a few sites where you can pick up a fair amount of cryptocurrency with no investment and only a few hours of time.

First, you need a wallet. For most of the micro-earning sites you will need a specific wallet depending on the website. There are two major ones that will be a must if you are looking to get as much crypto as quickly as possible.

CoinPot

CoinPot is the first "microwallet" you will want to sign up for. This is a strictly online wallet and is good for receiving payments from faucets that give out BitCoin, LiteCoin, BitCoin Cash, Dash and Doge Coin.

Now, there are only seven(7) faucets (that I am aware of) that pay into CoinPot but these are the most trusted and probably highest paying faucets on the web. You can claim your coins every five(5) minutes if you wish and the coins will be sent directly to your CoinPot account. No withdrawal threshold, no waiting, just instant deposit.

Here's the list of faucets that pay into CoinPot.

MoonBitCoin: http://moonbit.co.in/?ref=626fc5a4c986

MoonCash: http://moonb.ch/?ref=F1537FA92B84

MoonLiteCoin: http://moonliteco.in/?ref=c9c8a6af5ed9

MoonDash: http://moondash.co.in/?ref=0D4E12433F4A

MoonDoge: http://moondoge.co.in/?ref=46c5071a94ad

BitFun: http://bitfun.co/?ref=E2AC24718E7F

Bonus BitCoin: http://bonusbitcoin.co/?ref=C6DE50536FFF

Again, you can claim these faucets every five minutes if you like. Faucets, for those who aren't familiar, will send you fractions of a bitcoin or alt coin and the amount you can claim grows over time. The longer it sets before you claim, the more coin you get. There is a catch. After a certain period of time, the faucet slows almost to a halt in some cases.

For the CoinPot faucets, I have found that roughly 1-2 hours is the sweet spot. For example, I know the Moon Litecoin faucet will give me around 1000-1400 Latoshi in the ballpark of an hour and a half. After that, it slows down drastically so if you're really into getting some fast coin, claim every 90 minutes or so to make the most of the faucet.

All of the faucets above offer referal bonuses as well as a daily loyalty and mystery bonuses. On any given day, you could double or triple your faucet claim by simply making a claim. The Moon BitCoin faucet even has a mining bonus if you are willing to leave a tab open and let it use some of your CPU power to mine but we'll get into mining in another post.

FaucetHub

FucetHub is probably the most well-kown and reliable wallet on the web. Not only does it offer a microwallet for numerous coins, it integrates a rotator list of thousands of faucets that pay directly to the wallet along with offer walls, games, lotteries that run as short as a couple of minutes to as long as a month with the winnings growing to significant amounts for the longest ones. The best part is that you can enter the lotteries or multiply your holdings by playing games and do so at no real cost as you can use the coins you get free from the faucets.

There are literally thousands of faucets that pay directly into FaucetHub and it is easy to earn decent amounts of coin every day for those willing to take the time. Some of my favorite faucets pay as much as 500 Latoshi (.00000500 Litecoin) every five minutes.

Most of the faucets require you to simply enter your FaucetHub deposit address then complete a simple Captcha to verify you are an actual human being. Be forewarned, many of them will contain popups, redirects etc etc. I recommend using Google Chrome to minimize the chances of adware and malware. The owner of FaucetHub, mexicantarget, does a great job of keeping out the riff-raff from his glorious site but a little extra caution is always worth it. I use a Chromebook personally as it is practically impervious to malicious attacks from nefarious forces on the web.

I can't recommend FaucetHub enough. If you're serious about getting some free cryptocurrency, it's the place to be.

Cointiply

The last site on the list is Cointiply. This site is a faucet in a sense but at the same time much, much more. It will appeal to those accustomed to using sites like Neobux, SwagBucks, Inbox Dollars and the like.

Every hour you can roll the dice and get free coins. The roll will be subject to a bonus if you roll a prime number. After some time, you can accumulate enough to withdraw to FaucetHub or an other BTC wallet you choose.

Where the money here is, is on the offer walls. There are around a dozen different companies partnered with Cointiply that offer coins for anything from completing surveys, downloading mobile apps, signing up for trial offers and the list goes on.

In the first 72 hours of signing up for Cointiply, I made and withdrew over 150,000 satoshi. That's around $15 depending on the day. What did it cost me? About 3 hours of my time. I downloaded a couple of games and played them to whatever lever the offer required. I signed up for a couple of free trials. They did require my credit card for verification but that only cost me $1 and you get the dollar back. It's simply to validify the sign up. These are reputable companies like GameFly and HULU. Nothing shady happening here.

Sure, after you exhaust the offers list, you're left with your dice rolls but you can still make good money on that and referrals. You can easily make an extra hundred bucks in a month or so and get a good jump start on bulding your crypto portfolio.

Payments are fast from Cointiply and the customer service is exceptional. I had an offer that failed to pay and after opening a ticket, the rep responded within minutes and less than a half hour later, my account was credited. I have received every withdrawal I have made and will conitune to use Cointiply daily.

This hardly scratches the surface of all the options available to get your hands on a little crypto. Over the next few weeks, I will delve deeper into more ways of making some extra cash on cryptocurrency so you can begin to play around in the market withouth having to dish out cash from your own pocket. I will also go in depth on what to avoid because there are a lot of scam sites out there. The cryptocurrency market is the wild west of finance and at every turn there's someone trying to steal your hard-earned bits.

It's my goal to educate users while doing my best to shutting down scammers who are feeding of the loosely regulated crypto market and consumers who don't know better.

If you find my series helpful and would like to aid in making the cryptocurrency market a little safer, please consider donating a little "bit" to the cause. Thank you and be safe out there.

Sincerely,

Gabriel B.
