Yeah... Too bad its not doing me any good - Steem is not going anywhere. And the more money goes into BTC or the other big ones, the less is available to be invested in Steem.

Steem has been hovering between 43 and 45 cent for many weeks - lets wait and see if it can break out from there now. BTC has gone up 25% in 3 days, Steem about 10% perhaps.
However, its all meaningless if its not a lasting trend. I dont expect BTC to return to old highs, like 10.000 or more.
Regarding the ads on Steemit - I don't really see any outside some people's posts. But I use Firefox with a add-blocker.

Unless there’s major intervention by central banks or something bitcoin won’t go back to all time highs. The bitcoin lovers won’t shut up about bear market being over yet it’s still down by $13,000 plus.

Yeah, if a major country adopts a crypto currency, like Russia or so, it could bring a change. But I doubt they would use BTC. Rather something that works better in daily life and preferably a crypto that they created themself.
But that could bring new momentum into the whole crypto market. And it would mean a kick in the groin of the US dollar.
