Well... they are traded against BTC mostly so they will be worth more automatically. However a lot of people hedged into LTC and ETH until this date. It will remain to be seen if they all try and swap back out, but its a possibility.

Only if you assume that prices will remain the same, which is hardly fact. Usually the price adjusts accordingly. However, most altcoins have a positive correlation with $BTC prices, so most likely a rising tide will float all boats
