Word to the Wise

Today Word to the Wise features another high interest paying investment site called BtcValue.

As you can see BtcValue offers some incredible investment plans with very generous referral commissions to boot.

In fact, I don't see anything wrong with this company. Other than the remarkably bad English throughout their web site.

Or the fact that according to their listed address

they operate out of a L. A. Tan tanning salon.

But I guess if I was to really nit pick at their company, it would be the claim that they have been in operation for 244 days.

Why do I have a problem with that? Because if they truly do pay 60000% interest on investments after only 3 days, then if someone had invested only $30,000 at the start and reinvested the same $30,000 every 3 days, they would have the returns shown below.

So even though they claim to have over 15,000 accounts with over $8 million in investments and only $42 million in withdrawals, they should have way over $1 Billion if they were truly able to generate 60000% in only 3 days reliably.

BtcValue is obviously a scam site that is promising unrealistic returns to sucker stupid, greedy people into sending them money. They have a fake business address and even though they claim to be located in Toronto, Canada, the English used on their website reads like it was generated by a very bad translation service. Stay away from BtcValue, you'll be glad you did.

Money For Nothing

Today's free money is an airdrop for free DEVX tokens from Developeo.

To get your free tokens, just follow the link to the sign up form. You will need an ERC20 compatible Ethereum wallet address to receive the tokens.

If you don't already have an ERC20 Ethereum wallet, you can get one from MyEtherWallet.com for free.

Developeo is seeking to create a blockchain based reward system for developers who contribute to improving open source software. Somewhat similar to what we have here on Steemit, but for software developers. In addition to rewarding developers, they plan to eventually develop training boot camps and certifications and reward students for participating. With the ultimate goal of creating a distributed DEVX University that pays you to improve yourself instead of charging you. I really like this idea and hope it takes off...to the moon!

The Report

After a brief respite from their decent earlier today, cryptocurrencies continue to fall this afternoon. Now let's take a look at our favorite coins.

Bitcoin is currently trading at $8866 down almost 5% since this time yesterday.

Right now Steem is trading at $2.40, down 6.5% in the last 24 hours. SBD is also trading down and is currently at $2.40, down 7.3% since yesterday afternoon.

Currently on the Steemit Market, Steem is trading at 1.02 SBD, which is unchanged since yesterday. With Steem and SBD both trading at $2.40, we should be seeing Steem trading for 1.00 SBD on the Steemit market, so the price is a little off from the broader markets.

The supply of liquid Steem dropped by only a few thousand Steem since yesterday's report. Currently there are almost 77.6 million liquid Steem.
