Lately with all of the hype and concern targeting the upcoming August 1 date with BTC I have, like many others researched other viable altcoin alternatives. There are only a few altcoins out there in my opinion that could break shout august 1 be a disaster. IF a hard fork happens it will be interesting to see which version of the BTC prevails.
The Gulden coin is similar to BTC but has a much larger transaction capacity per MB, and is much cheaper. I believe BTC can handle less that 10 transactions a second where Gulden is in the low one hundreds. This form of digital currency has success in the Netherlands currently where the market is being tested.
The process time compared from BTC to Gulden is very different. Gulden forecasts estimate by the end of 2017 it could be under a few minutes, while as everyone knows BTC is exhausting at times. Is there any reason for large scale interests to switch to Gulden from BTC? I'm not sure if we are there yet, but depending on how August 1 shakes out investors and crypto enthusiasts may be interested in exploring other options.
Gulden is certainly a gamble and a long hold. Anyone interested in GUlden? Is it a buy?? Does it have a future?
I think the crypto NLG (Gulden) moves strongly on weakness in the euro and while it gathers sympathy from the Dutch and perhaps other Europeans. Long hold. The Gulden was the currency of the Netherlands before the euro.

Solid article. Interesting to see I'm not the only one that is thinking about this. The future is in blockchain. The issues is that people don't seem to care about the Trustworthiness of the current cryptos. This also happened in the internet boom. An interesting website I found: https://www.coincheckup.com.
