Despite Litecoin being around for several years it has not reached as mass of an audience in popularity as Bitcoin. While the market volume is growing it still has a lot of potential and the price for 2017 has PLENTY of room to move upwards for a few reasons:
- It survived the implementation of SEGWIT
- Again...I've said this in many posts- Charlie Lee working full time on development of expansion will only make the value go up
- Transaction fees for Bitcoin are outrageous. Want to buy a late from Starbucks? $4.50 +2.50 fee equals crazyness. Litecoin is cents on the dollar compared to Bitcoin.
- THe closer to August 1 without a clear decision will create uncertainty in the Bitcoin market causing LTC to rise quickly.
- Dubbed as the "silver" to Bitcoin it is a more efficient and cheaper option to the Bitcoin platform.
My top five reasons for buying Litecoin
- Charlie Lee (He's on a road show crushing the Asian market and this will create a huge demand in the coin)
- 84 million market cap (only 30 million or so left)
- It's cheaper than Bitcoin (You stand to gain the most increase due to low price)
- It's faster than Bitcoin (LTC is drama free and much faster, why do we even need Bitcoin?)
- Less than a 3 minute block time (Game changer in digital currency considering it's a close clone of Bitcoin)
What point will Litecoin be seriously considered as not the "silver" to Bitcoin, but the new and improved Bitcoin???
Litecoin has been surging but if Bitcoin can successfully inplement SegWit I honestly believe the cryptocurrency is going to the moon. If Litecoin does succeed in surpassing Bitcoin in the future, it'll be a very sad day for cryptocurrency enthusiasts, but a really happy one for Charlie Lee
