Hello Steemians!

So today I came across this cover from The Economist in 1988... What got me intrigued was the date printed in the "phoenix coin"

2018!

What you all think about that? Is it like The simpsons guessing the future, or the NWO conspiracy?

Love to hear what you all think about that.

Great pick. With this goes along the idea of a cashless society.
The World Payment Report is forecasting a double-digit growth worldwide. By 2020, the volume of cashless payments is expected to grow by an average of almost 11 percent, with emerging economies expected to come in at 19.6 percent and industrialized nations at 5.6 percent.

Thanks. I didn't knew about this report, but all things are pointing in this direction.
When cryptocurrencies actually start to bank the unbanked and be used on a daily basis, Cash and fiat will be in big trouble.

There will be hybrids too like cashaa or polybius bank.
