Bitcoin of America has announced that as part of expanding its services it will open new Bitcoin Teller Machines in five major U.S. cities during the next four months.
In a press release, the Chicago-based company, the Teller Machines — also known as BTMs, Bitcoin Kiosks, and Bitcoin ATMs — will be installed in Cleveland, Los Angeles, New Orleans, Philadelphia, and Washington D.C.
Bitcoin of America has 32 BTMs in St. Louis, Los Angeles, Indianapolis, Detroit, Columbus, Cleveland, Chicago, and Baltimore, which are already in operation.
Using BTMs regular people can buy and sell digital currencies like Bitcoin without the need for an intermediary.
Although BTMs look alike traditional ATMs (Automated Teller Machines), they serve a very different purpose.
Instead of providing people with access to their bank accounts, they can easily buy and sell Bitcoin and other virtual currencies.
