I agree with @arslan786 and I'd like to add that it's not just any old follower that you want. You want to find people who value what you create. Having a consistent audience of people who are genuinely interested in your work is better than a boat load of people who don't spend the time talking with you.
I agree that blockchain technologies are the future and I believe that Steemit is an amazing platform. What is real though is the avenues you can go down and the people you can meet who will support you on your journey.

I don’t understand Steemit envy! I enjoy my walks in the local park after work as well as visiting and hiking in epic places. My friends are road tripping the country this summer, and one is an amazing photographer!
