When things are traded in stock, it is like any other thing we own. The vested interest in anything require the basic of consumer value. That has changed over the years. Some values have even been artificially inflated or valued. As much as insider trading is policed, it is hard to see at upper levels if these actions are monitored and policed the same as it is with the employee levels. Gold for example, in times like these, supply and demand seem to not effect the value. Obviously the supply is depleting, but the value drops from time to time. Supply goes up, so to me that puts many old assumptions to rest, they don't work to value commodities. I would assume the market will rise anywhere they can deliver an option by where the value has an initiation value to a rise in capital volume level for example ref:
