After being suspended for unknown reasons, in April 2018, the @Bitcoin account again became embroiled in controversy. Even more so, supporters of Bitcoin Core (BTC) complained about the account and tried to close the profile.
Bitcoin Core considered to be the legitimate Bitcoin
It all started when @Bitcoin announced support for Bitcoin Cash (BCH), which prompted the disapproval of several supporters of the BTC (Bitcoin Core).
Since the account is called Bitcoin, they consider that it fraudulently usurps the name of the real Bitcoin.
To this end, they recommended the suspension of the account and its reassignment to the group of Bitcoin Core developers.
In the end, @Bitcoin was returned to the rightful owner. However, the social reach seems to have been impoverished since.
Raise shared reactions
While the r / bitcoin community celebrated the closure of the account, other social media followers have dismissed Twitter's actions as immoral.
For many, the term Bitcoin is not exclusive to the BTC (Bitcoin Core), since there is a good forty bitcoin fork.
It is for these reasons that the website Coinivore, a news and research site dedicated to cryptocurrency, has called for freedom of expression on the subject.

I think that Twitter did the right thing. Bitcoin Cash (ABC) might be the most successful fork of Bitcoin, but it is still not Bitcoin. Using the Bitcoin brand to market BCH is misleading. Bitcoin Cash supporters should try to build their own name instead.
