The HBO hack is just one recent example of how cyberattackers are now targeting corporations, and CyberArk chief Udi Mokady said that bitcoin is often used to pay them off.

As hacks become more sophisticated, they manage to infiltrate the top tiers of companies, forcing their hands into buying the unregulated currency and using it for ransom.

As always I upvote/follow/resteem those that do the same for me. Just don't spam my feed or will unfollow/mute.

Have they actually sent off the first payment? I would be suprised to see them go all the way thru with it. Would set the bar for how all this could play out in situations like this. Although I'm sure they'll do whatever it takes to prevent any leaks, I think them saying they'll pay in bitcoin installments is just to buy them some more time.

Thanks for the post. Good stuff. Im not sure if tge cryptos are the answer or not. But for now they are awesome

they are using it for a long time.
