Exodus (https://www.exodus.io/) is the best desktop "hot" wallet I have found. I am still researching smartphone "hot" wallets, and I do not yet have any experience with offline "cold" wallets such as Tezor, paper wallets, etc. Smartphone wallets appear to be less secure than desktop wallets.

But I would not use Coinbase because in the last buying/selling frenzy of December 2017 many users complained how they could not buy more than 1 or 2 LTC or ETH. Especially on my smartphone.
