Hi Steemit community,

The biggest question I had when first investing was "how do I get my money out".

Having an exist strategty is one of the most important aspects of investing (if not the most!)

This short tutorial aims to solve that problem. You will learn in this video(which is aimed for beginners on Coinbase or any other exchange) I will show you the fundamentals of how to sell your cryptocurrency from Coinbase (the leading online exchange in the US) and withdrawal it directly to your bank account! The same principles will apply to a majority of other exchanges like bittrex, gemini, binance, ext -- Check out my video below!

My goal with this post is to provide you a way to actually see real hard cash into your accounts from your cryptocurrency investments!

Great video, really helpful to all the newbies! I've had so many friends and family call me and ask how to pull money out of crypto, it can be really frustrating for them and that's not the image we want to portray to the masses! Thanks for putting this video out there!

get coin and girlz will follow ;)

1 bitcoin = 1 car = 100 girl haha

= 2 the moon

Tempting to sell now, but when I think of taxes, I hold off, maybe some time next year...

switch it for monero ;)

I never used coinbase ever. .. now ..i think it is pretty simple to use

Simple but high fees I think it's better to use an exchange and make the bid/ask price yourself.

Great article for those who are new to the space or need to know how to take profits on their Steem & Steem Dollars!

The message of the article helps everyone:

From my experience, Coinbase has been great since the beginning, and while many have, I have never had a problem getting next day withdrawls into the bank with their excellent service.

Thanks @jeoparys for all the info.

Merry Christmas!

I really appreciate this tutorial. I have to withdraw cryptos but I've been wanting to be prepared on how to do it when I decide to withdraw.

i have an account in coinbase, but i can't to sell my btc or eth...i don't know why..........thanks for your article

Great information and shared for reference

This is awesome 😎

Great video!

For anyone cashing out bitcoin or other currencies though, please make sure you are taking the tax implications into account.

In the US, long term capital gains are taxed at 10-20+%, and short term (held for less than a year) are taxed as income. So if you do cash out money through Coinbase, make sure you save an appropriate amount for taxes, or you may get an unpleasant surprise in April.

Good point. Some of you might balance that against the fact that Coinbase does protect itself with insurance in case it gets hacked. You still need to protect your own account but at least, Coinbase has protected itself (and your funds).

Yeah, there are absolutely pros and cons to the decision.

Hello @joeparys, thanks for these. Learning new stuff every day, keep up the good work . Just subscribed to your channel

If you are going to use Coinbase, the trick is to use GDAX and a limit order to sell your bitcoin. You wont get charged just to convert it to USDT. Then wire the USDT to your bank account. It's much cheaper. Good luck to everyone. Also, consider using ethereum, it's cheaper and faster when it comes to transactions.

Fuck the fees are nasty..

Yes I agree better to use an exchange with binance probably being the cheapest 0.1% fees and 0% for withdrawals in other crypto although you should always look to arbitrage as I don't mind paying a high fee if I sell for a much higher price. With coinbase you don't get to set the ask price so you are blind to how much they really charge.

A good tutorial, thanks. :)

I am sure you will enjoy this post.

I'm just starting to learn about cryptocurrencies so any article I read about it is virgin ground to me. Thanks for this article, it is another illustration of how little I know. Oh well onward and upward, just like bitcoin, until the recent big drop of course.

I think we can work together to make this happen. We share many goals, and I hope to expand my teaching online this year. There are some special groups I would like to start on steem, ones that can be introduced in courses where certifications is required. I will talk to you in detail on these later, my friend. For now, Merry Christmas, my friend.

thank for informtion @joeparys

Good article thanks for posting.

thanks i saw it before on an older post on steemit that it wouldn't let me upvote, anyways, long story short i got the SBD xfered to poloniex and also got a coinbase account set up tied to paypal(paypal to bank ofcourse obviously!) and now I'm set up, since it wouldn't let me upvote that old post that helped me im upvoting yours! Great Info!

Just letting you know that you and a friend killed a bot reward with almost an hour more to run on it. Someone else has already come behind you. You can see the details of the bot here:
https://s3.amazonaws.com/yabapmatt/bottracker/bottracker.html

$10 is a huge vote in that pond over there and postpromoter is not a very big bot. You may want to rethink you strategy and vote lower for a better reward ratio. Good luck.
