You Can Now Send Bitcoin Tips Over Lightning on Twitter

When ever "liking" your selected tweet basically enough, you can now send small bitcoin ventures.

Announced Saturday, the beta iphone app Tippin has released a new Chrome Expansion available to Google internet browser users. Over Twitter, iphone app users can send bitcoin payments via the Super Network, considered a way to make bitcoin ventures feasible at a sizable size for the first time.

With the extension empowered, a little lightning sl? symbol pops up inside every tweet next to the more familiar "like" and "retweet" buttons.

It builds off an old idea that small payments are one of bitcoin's selling points. (Bitcoin iphone app ChangeTip was once a popular way to send payments over interpersonal media, but it not survived in 2016. )

Tippin engineer Sergio Abril told CoinDesk:

"In my opinion, tipping is heading to be incredibly popular with lightning network; It can the first time we can send small sums almost at no cost, and we can do it incredibly fast. very well

All an user needs is a Twitter consideration and install Tippin to receive tips. Consequently, Tippin hopes to capitalize on crypto Twitter power users to drive growth.

"Tippin started as a personal side project a few of months ago, so I could understand super network somewhat more, and of course help force adoption, but it's beginning to get big, " Abril said.
