How to avoid ridiculous transaction fees used by JAXX wallet

Jaxx wallet is charging sky high BTC mining fees - even using "with SLOW (Cheap Fees)" option.

To send bitcoin out of your Jaxx wallet it charges:
On 25th of December the fee was 0.0150128 BTC - 215.64 USD
On 28th of December the fee is 0.011089 BTC - 159.28 USD

Jaxx allows you to control your private keys, they are stored on your client device, not on any servers, which is a very nice feature of Jaxx wallet, as you are in total control of your private keys.
You can copy the keys using Menu - Tools - Display Private Keys, both the public and private.

I've registered on blockchain.info to be able to use their wallet, where you can import Bitcoin addresses manually.
In the blockchain.info wallet, select Settings - Addresses - Import Bitcoin Address - where you can paste the public key you copied from the Jaxx wallet and import it into blockchain.info wallet.

Press the 'Send Bitcoin' button in the blockchain.info wallet, select the imported public address, paste the corresponding private key what was copied from the Jaxx wallet, and you are good to go with the default fee setting, which is 0.00034810 Bitcoin or 5 USD!

Job done, you have managed to save around 150-200 USD. And the transaction got 6 confirmations within 30 minutes. Sweet.

VERY NICE!!! thank you ... I was shocked by almost 200€ fees just now with JAXX, almost panic... no way!!! this is great info. I found your post quickly, thank U for helping me safe a lot of money

Welcome Luis, if you need any advice feel free to contact me, i already run into many trouble myself and learned a lot from my own mistakes :)

I also have blockchain wallet, and i'm completely satisfied with that.

I used it only for testing paper wallets as it can import addresses, and nowadays i am finding it very useful as you can set your own transactions fees. Today i used 100 satoshi/byte, it was flawless. Just make sure you have your recovery phrase written and hidden!

thank your friends for the good pasting his friend
