Most of the pain has already happened...
Everywhere I look there are news articles and posts and talking heads on TV talking about how bad things are going to get etc...
Well, from where I sit, it looks to me like the worst of it is already over, and possibly by a long shot.
That doesn't mean that bitcoin and every altcoin has bottomed and is going to start going up now.
On the contrary I think things are likely to trend mostly sideways for a while.
There will be bounces and dips, but the overall trend in the medium term is likely to be sideways in my opinion.
Everyone is talking about getting short and dumping what they have, but to that I would say, you are too late.
The time to dump was early last week when the rumors started flying.
Now, we are 30% lower in the overall crypto market with some coins/projects down even more.
I am not going to sugarcoat what happened and pretend it was good news, it wasn't, but the industry will recover and likely emerge stronger because of it, eventually.
We have more than a decade of history showing us that bitcoin bounces back every time from these things.
The flip-side is that the industry probably won't be nearly as leveraged and not nearly as much hype, those days may be gone for good.
Which likely means less wild price swings, both up and down.
Plus we are likely to see more regulation in all the aspects of the markets, which will be good and bad. It will allow for greater transparency and trust, but it also might mean less of the things that lead to huge price explosions in the first place which is what attracted a great deal of the people here.
All that being said, to answer the title of the post, I think it is already probably too late to sell, especially if we are talking about bitcoin.
Looking out 18 months from now and we will be past bitcoin's next halving event and this will be a distant memory with a while new playing field in place, my guess is the price will also be significantly higher than it is right now, but that is just my guess.
I will be using this dip to buy some long term bitcoin holdings personally.

The real dip will come right after the next BTC halving, the worst is yet to come, so i guess it’s not too late.

Historically the price has bottomed roughly a year prior to the following halving, not sure why you think we would go lower post halving...
