Bitcoin has over 200,000 nodes protecting and securing the network

If you are like me, you have often wondered where the vast majority of bitcoin nodes are located.

We have all heard stories about how China controls the vast amount of hashrate due to the cheap electricity as well as mining pools.

Well, sometimes it's nice to see exactly where these things are located in picture form.

Here you go:

Interestingly enough, Germany has a large number of bitcoin nodes.

They are number 2 in terms of total nodes in fact...

Now that was a surprise to me!

Stay informed my friends.

Well, those numbers totally turn the conventional wisdom on its head. Thanks for the info, always helpful.

THAT is very interesting in deed!

Though a certain location can be pointed at, does it necessarily mean it belongs to a certain country?!? I haven't read the related article you joined in your posting, but does it explain the logistics of finding the locations and how it can prove whether or not the location is actually true as well as who really owns it???

This is such interesting data... Thanks for sharing!

Namaste :)
