Bitcoin Price - Why the FUD and Should You HODL?

in bitcoin •  7 years ago  (edited)

I am hearing stories from some sources of people speculating heavily on crypto on margin.

Now for those of you who know, speculating on margin is like trying to make a jet engine faster by spraying jet full into the fan...

Now, here's the second part, a lot of these guys are shorting the market thinking they are being smart. I get the feeling they may have not experienced what happens in a market when sellers get caught short and don't have anything to sell to cover their position. The market shoots up... so watch this space

Wololo!

(RandoHealer has healed this post because your blog was targeted for healing due to malicious downvotes!)

Thanks for resteeming the hivemind update. I'm very excited about that.

Regarding this post, it suggests that you know more about finance than I was giving you credit for. I hope that this latest post creates some FUD. FUD is a good, appropriate thing when it comes to amateurs betting against the market by speculating, with their life savings.

No worries, it's good to get to know people slowly. I always try and keep an open mind.

I will read through your other reply and respond when I get some more time

Please don't pull any punches with me if you see a correction to make in my thinking. My education in finance is dated, and my knowledge is a scholar's knowledge, not the knowledge of a practitioner. I have never owned a common stock. Nor have I ever owned real property.

No need for punches ;)

I like to present my view and you can then make up your own mind.

I work with people who are very business savvy and successful via my practice @kbr so have lots of practice talking about finance and tax in every day language.

I am waiting for my reputation goes higher again before I post anymore time intensive content

I'm even more of a newbie here than you are, so I don't yet understand how reputation is calculated or what its effects are. But from common sense I can suggest that you stop resteeming so much. Since I follow you, it fills up my feed and the only way that I can stop that is to unfollow you. I wish that there was a way to follow you without receiving what you resteem. If I eventually unfollow you, that will be the reason.

My reputation climbed to 40 in only 30 days. Why not imitate what I do for 30 days and see what happens:

(1) Never post more than once within a several hour (at least two) period.

(2) Don't post unless you really have something to say.

(3) Reply to everyone, always, unless it is clear that no reply would be expected.

(4) Do not have anything to do with resteem bots. (I mute them immediately with zero tolerance.)

(5) Do not upvote yourself and be selective in spending the 10 votes that you get each day.

(6) Sad to say, but the reality is that people don't come to social media to hear what you have to say. They are awash in information and commentary. People come to social media because they are lonely, desperate for human connection. They want someone to listen to them, to connect with them.

My blog posts are not why I am here. I am here to experience community, to develop sacred, human relationships with individual people. If you are here for any other reason, it probably won't work.

Thanks for your feedback, it's really appreciated.

I am resteeming to support others who have good content so they don't have to rely on vote bots to get exposure.

Hopefully the feature you're after will be in STEEM soon, I know you can do that already on twitter.

My reputation was at 40+ before the #hgin flagging of all my posts.

So at the moment, I am not posting any longer posts as they won't get much exposure.

Your advice is really good. Maybe you can put it into a post so more people can see it. If you do so, let me know and I will resteem you.

@kabir88

i think correction is done now we hitted rock bottom twice and hands here are not weak enuff to sell at that price... and i will EXPLAIN why tomorrow in my new post @dannysavage

i love to call them ''big boomers'' people who came in to crypto @ BTC $15k-$19k and accepted crypto as "the next thing on internet" and actually believe in blockchain. ..

We're early in this... Blockchain need to mature and it has some work to be done, but when it's trully connected and working it will be awesome place to be.

I hope you get back to your normal rep soon.
And I'm specking on buying low and selling high.
Well at least on steem, and SBD it's all I got.

Thanks @markeverlasting

At least with steem, even if you don't get super rich from it, you can see the use case and benefit from any purchase from additional steem with more influence on the network

yea cus I keep upvoting you but without steem I guess it's no good. sad
oh well, I'll come back with I have more steem. Hang in there bro.

I'm moving my steem around, but once it's done - I can lend you some again. Thanks @markeverlasting for your support
