The virtual coin, Bitcoin, is completely unstoppable. These days, the coin foot has once again hit new all time high in 6600 USD, and thus the price has risen by 560% this year alone. By comparison, the big US stock index Dow Jones "only" has risen almost 19% over the same period
The last days rise in the price of Bitcoins is due to the fact that the world's largest stock exchange, the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME), will now establish so-called bitcoin futures over the next few months. This initiative sees many as an additional blowering of the virtual currency. At the same time, it is now possible for the world's big investment houses to wonder in Bitcoin, something that can cause the price to explode further.
Today, the price of Bitcoins is around 6600 USD, but according to the most optimistic analysts, the price may hit 100,000 USD over the next 10 years.
Others are, however, far more skeptical. For example, leading analysts from Unicredit, UBS and JP Morgan believe that the price of Bitcoins is in a huge bubble that will soon collapse.
So far, Bitcoins has constantly grown from skeptics. Also from the Danish National Bank, which in 2014 stated that "bitcoins have no value in use".
Since the statement, Bitcons has increased by 1550%.
Right now, nothing indicates that the hype is about to go to the crypto market, and it invests massively in both Bitcoins and Ethereum. The total value of the many crypto currencies - incl. Ethereum, the second most popular virtual currency, is currently $ 182 billion.
