Penalty for the CEO of Cryptsy exchange. According to coindesk, the Southern District Court of Florida sentenced Paul Vernon, CEO of Cryptsy which collapsed in January 2016, to pay more than $8 million to the clients. Two claimants, Brandon Leidel and Michael Wilson, sued Paul Vernon due to more than 11,000 bitcoins taken from their bitcoin accounts. The judge of the court, Kenneth Marra, ordered on the final decision that Vernon, who is believed to be currently residing somewhere in Asia, liable to pay $8.2 million in damages to its customers. On the other hand, Paul Vernon did not respond to the allegations.
