New Jersey Bitcoin Club (mission statement)

Hey, how goes it?

I'm Kenneth Bosak, I'm here to talk about bitcoin and bitcoin accessories.

I created the New Jersey Bitcoin Club only a few months ago, with all intent and purpose to aid adoption, by spreading my own first hand knowledge. Now it's full of knowledgeable people who share their own take on bitcoin and accessories. This club has become a beautiful safe place for people new or old to come and ask questions or answer inquiries related to bitcoin. We're only a few months old and almost 200 members strong. It's time we organize.

Mission Statement

Adoption:

Bitcoin Awareness, Use Cases and Benefits

There are many people that need bitcoin in their lives but still don't know what bitcoin is. These are the people we need to target and inform. The small Mom & Pop shops, the 9% of Americans who are unbanked, the average Joe, all could benefit from bitcoin in one way or another. Be that benefit saving money, holding money or making money. It's all about showing the right person the right use case. Hopefully this mission statement will help.

-Acknowledge the use case which will most benefit the individuals needs.

-The small Mom & Pop shops are being robbed by Visa and other credit card processing companies. Bitcoin can save them money over each transaction when compared to the RFID and Tap&Pay fees, among many other benefits.

-The 9% of Americans who are unbanked don't have a safe place to store their value. Bitcoin can help provide this space place without requiring identification and proof of address, which is the information most unbanked can't provide.

-The average Joe may not have a ton of money to put on ice and invest. 69% of American's don't have $1,000.00 in their savings account. Bitcoin is a storage of value, an investment you can spend as currency.

-Navigate the individual to information on said use case

-If you're not up to the tase reach out to the community, someone will gladly accept the task.

-Stick to what you know best. If you know one implementation or use case better than another, try to focus on that aspect and strengthen it.

-Hands on assistance and step-by-step guidance is key. This is new waters for most and it can be a confusing transition at first, which could scare off any new bitcoin user.

-I always point people to The Bitcoin Podcast to get their crypto-toes wet.

-Aid in implementation and adoption process.

-Help a store clerk accept bitcoin like a Visa.
BitPay.com
-Help an unbanked set up a wallet
Jaxx.io
-Help the adverge Joe invest
Lawnmower.io

Organize

-Choose a role, goal and responsibility.

Which role do you want to play in the adoption process? (for example)
-Small Business Adoption

Which goal is associated with the role?
-Help accept bitcoin via BitPay.com
-Set up BitPay POS (PC/Mobile)
-Educate employees

What are the responsibilities of the role?
-Organize a step-by-step guide for on ramping
-Being available for hands-on help with the set-up process
-Keep in touch and maintain communication

I hope this blog has been helpful. I hope to see more roles being played by the members of The New Jersey Bitcoin Club and I also hope to see more member join!
