My CRAZY introduction to the world of BITCOIN Las Vegas style!! ;)

So first and foremost here's another pic of me attempting to verify my existence...The last one I uploaded in my introduction post got some negative feedback from ppl. The "paper was floating", and it was photo shopped? No. I was laying on my back with the paper sitting on my boobs cuz I'm not coordinated enough to take a selfie with one hand if I were to actually hold the paper and hold the phone far enough away from my body to get everything in the shot lol. I always end up dropping my phone or making an ugly face while Im straining to push the button. Go ahead and laugh or comment why this pic is "fake" too... I understand the skepticism. I know nothing about photo shop, but if I did I guarantee I would have the most amazing pics on every social network out there (I don't)!! So in any event, here's the story of my strange first encounter with BITCOIN...its def the type of experience that could only happen to a girl in Las Vegas...

In Vegas there's something called "Atmosphere modeling" which exists pretty much everywhere. Its basically girls getting paid to get dressed up and go out to party at clubs, pools, or have dinner ect. Sometimes hosts will hire girls to hang out at a club to give the appearance there's an abundance of single girls around the joint. Other times they will find girls to party with their well paying clients who have VIP tables, but no arm candy to flaunt. My situation started as a "VIP table with no girls situation." About a year and a half ago my good girl friend got a call from a host she knows connecting her with a group of guys that wanted some girls to join them at their table at Hakkasan which is a popular nightclub in the MGM. A couple other girls had already been recruited, but she didn't want to leave me out so she asked if they wanted one more girl to come (meaning me). They asked if I would accept #bitcoin as payment, and she immediately told them I would. I was annoyed. She was getting paid $500 in cash #money, and I was getting some bullshit form of payment that meant nothing to me, or anyone I knew. I laughed it off and I figured whatever its only a couple hours to party at a nightclub that people wait in line for hours just to walk into...

We meet up with the guys and they download an app onto my phone called "Airbitz" when is a type of wallet to hold bitcoins. They transferred me 2 bitcoins which ended up being more then $500 at the current the exchange rate. We partied at the club and actually had a lot of fun! After I got home a few hours later my girlfriend and I lay there in my bed and laughed hysterically until we fell asleep. I had no idea how I had been paid. Was it a stock, or a bond? Was I invested in some strange company I didn't understand? Did I need to check the Dow Jones in the morning lol? More like I hadn't been paid anything of any real value, and I needed to take my ass to sleep! I looked into Bitcoin the next day and I started to understand it was a type of digital or #cryptocurrency that the majority of the population knew nothing about. You could say I figured out as much as I could about it before I felt overwhelmed by information that wasn't making much sense to me. I forgot all about it...

At the advice of the guys who gave me the bitcoins I never attempted to cash them in, combined with the fact I didn't even know how to go about it if I HAD wanted to lol! So there they sat in my "wallet" with nothing more then a funny confusing story to tell people. Fast forward to the present. Over the past year I've started seeing these Bitcoin ATM machines popping up all over the place?!? The first time I saw one I was filled with excitement! I felt like I was part of some new trend that must be taking off? People wouldn't be investing money into installing these machines around the city if the idea wasn't taking off... right? I most recently saw a "B-ATM" in an adult store while I was with a friend who was shopping for rave gear for the EDC festival. I took the pic I uploaded above, and sent it to my friends half joking, half not. I mean according to that daily exchange rate I had made close to $1000 of profit by simply forgetting about the coins, and letting time pass. Long story short... I regret laughing at the idea of something just because I couldn't understand it right away. #Life is way too short to be closed minded about something even if it is a little confusing at first. Give things, people, and new ideas a chance anytime you have the opportunity! I've always thought of the guys that pay "atmosphere models" to hang out in a bad way. They must be too dysfunctional or selfish with their time to actually put effort into meeting people, or getting to know anyone. I could have been wrong? Maybe they're just too busy being one step ahead of everyone preparing for the future...?;)
