Few days ago we had the second halving of bitcoin in history.
But what does this halving mean and why will it contribute for bitcoin to be worth 1 Million Dollars one day?
Let me explain in a very simple way, these are the amount of bitcoins generated every day since it was created:
Start (2009) : 7200.00000000 #start
Halving 1 (2012) : 3600.00000000 #Halving November 2012
Just with the first halving of 2012, 1 bitcoin went from about $5 to a max of about $1200 and STILL today it is around $660, that's about 130 times higher today and a top of about 250 times higher!
Now let's look into the future:
Halving 2 (2016) : 1800.00000000 #Halving July 2016
Halving 3 (2020) : 900.00000000
Halving 4 (2024) : 450.00000000

Halving 30 (2128) : 0.00000671

The real time clock: http://bitcoinclock.com/
So basically:
$0.01
$0.10
$1
$10
$100
$1000 <- Only one halving took you here!
$10000
$100000
$1000000
$10000000
$100000000
The more halvings we have, the less sell pressure we have on the market, as less and less bitcoins are created over time.
One advice to all: if you want a good retirement in 30 years from now, forget those ridiculous bank accounts paying 1% a year, just buy $100 of bitcoins today and in 30 years you will be a f*cking Millionaire!
Who cares about Bitcoin. It is just a matter of time until SteemBackedDollars gonna be the cryptocurrency Nr.1.
And STEEM will become the most valuable cryptoshares for years.

Care to explain why? I'm not saying that SBD is useless, but look at it pragmatically.

SBD is pegged to the real US-Dollar, aka not as volatile as Bitcoin.
SBD offers an interest rate.
SBD will be used by the Steemit.com community which is much more different and especially becomes bigger than the BTC community ever would.
And the Steem devs are planning great things related to SBD, I'm sure.
Bitcoin is for nerds but SBD has the potential to become the defacto online-currency for the average joe.
