You people that know more on bitcoins and cryptocurrencies... i was wondering... How possible is to make an app that tries to solves a new block every 10 min, running on a small PC with a very-very low hash power (using an ASIC of 5GHz/s maybe)?
Is it possible for us to calculate the what are the odds an app like this can find a block just by luck? And if those odds are bigger or smaller comparing to buying lottery tickets every week to win the same amount of money...
I was trying to ask steemiers on an earlier post of mine but no luck so far getting an answer...
