Bitcoin mining prospects

Bitcoins still looking very good , and it may well be looking  better in a years time.  About 8 months ago I bought  some bitcoin largely inspired by this article.

https://news.bitcoin.com/bitcoin-2016-awakening/

And the information has been correct so far.

recently there was another article published

 https://vinnylingham.com/bitcoin-2017-a-currency-devaluation-hedge-for-emerging-markets-849931d71f6f#.rsukms1yy

If this is true its still looking better than ever.  How about mining?

I'm not exactly in a position to do this now or then either  but 7 months ago I had a look at bitcoin mining and calculated that 14 Antminers would pay for themselves after about 100 days and 200 days after the rewards halving.

" https://www.bitmaintech.com/productDetail.htm?pid=0002016052907243375530DcJIoK0654 at the current rate
for bitcoin of $742 and at a speed of 14 TH/Shttp://www.unitconversion.org/frequency-wavelength/terahertz-to-megahertz-conversion.htmlhttp://www.alcula.com/calculators/finance/bitcoin-mining/The returned profits per day above the power consumption are about 22 dollarsIt may not be economical to buy 14 of them but say I did for 30000
they should return 300 dollars a day or .4 bitcoin
so they should pay for themselves after 100 days but its 0.2 next month I guess when. So 200 days, and then you will be making a bitcoin every 5 days . By that time bitcoins will be worth 1000-10000 dollars each so it should be a good investment. "

How about now? Bitcoins hovering around 890 and looks set to go up again this year. At the current rate The Antminers would pay for themselves after 145 days then would be making you 2500 or more US a week.

Lately everyone seems to be mining altcoins, you can then trade sell them for BTC. Monero and Bytecoin are recommended as the most profitable, at least when not using dedicated hardware.

Just tonight I started using Minergate, it has a nice simple UI and seems like it'll work out pretty well in the long run.

Looks interesting but I'd be surprised if it could really be profitable
