Yesterday, a small shock went through the Bitcoin industry. Many people use prepaid Bitcoin debit cards for everyday shopping, but since yesterday this is no longer possible. Affected are PrePaid cards from TenX, Mobi.me, Xapo, Bitwala and all companies that work with the card issuer WaveCrest.
What happened?
There are contractual difficulties between the card issuer "Wave Crest Holdings Ltd." and Visa behind it.
Allegedly, WaveCrest did not comply with operating agreements with Visa. Thereupon all maps of the users were blocked. Only European users are concerned.
What happens next you can not really say. However, Julian Hosp of TenX sees this as an opportunity, since his company is already working with a new provider on a solution, because Wave Crest Holdings Ltd. is not the only bank offering these services.
We look forward to seeing which companies now benefit from this situation. I can well imagine that there will be a big crowd there.
Sunny greetings
Very Nice
