Find good people to follow. Once you find one, see who they follow and follow them too. Also, play around with looking at posts by tags you're interested in, and do searches for people in your country/state/city.

Downvoting a post can decrease pending rewards and make it less visible. Common reasons:

  • Disagreement on rewards
  • Fraud or plagiarism
  • Hate speech or trolling
  • Miscategorized content or spam
