If you are like me, the more you read, discover and see what is happening in the development of the Blockchain technology and crypto currencies space, the more excited you become. This is here to stay and is something we will all be using in our everyday lives in the not too distant future. It has the potential to change so many things for the better.
Yet when you meet someone who has no idea what bitcoin is and you try to explain it in a way that your grandmother would get it, you need to break it down to its simplest yet fantastically wonderful aspects.
With this post, i am going to attempt to give you the reference point and 30,000 feet overview that you can use the next time you hear "what the hell is bitcoin" or "what is this bitcoin thing" .

Bitcoin and Blockchain technology is the most exciting thing since the creation of the internet. We are right at the early stages still in its development. Anyone that is getting involved or investing in it right now, although it has been around for a few years, will still be regarded as the early adopters (the ones that made the big money), when we look back on this time period in a number of years time. The opportunities that exist in this space for anyone that can use a computer or simply wants to invest a small amount of money are the best asymmetric bet available today. I believe it is your duty to do even a little research into what is happening here.
