Best Exit Scam So Far

in bitcoin •  7 years ago  (edited)

Everyone loves a good ol' exit scam. We've had so many in such a short amount of time. ICOs were the shit to get into during the 3rd and 4th quarter of 2017, and everyone thought they'd get lambo rich. Unfortunately that wasn't the case.

I mentioned ethconnect in a previous post. I'm not even sure what their roadmap was, but reddit was bending over for it. So i hopped on the the train. Ethconnect had all the signs of a classic ICO... miss-spellings, sketchy ass website, and promised the world to all its investors. To this day they are still claiming that they will make you a millionaire.... if you're going to exit scam us, do it already!

However, the best exit scam to date happened in 2018, with a coin named Prodeum. I'm actually quite impressed with how little effort the "founders" put into the project, they knew they would have dreamers invest into their project with little to no fundamental value. Look at the picture below. These guys paid this girl to write their coin on her body. These guys were good.

It gets better! When they exit scammed us, they did it in a magnificent fashion. They deleted their twitter and updated their website as shown below. If you're going to exit scam us, please do it like these guys.

Has always scared to bejoolies out of me

hilarious :D Do you know how much money they made?

Stole mate, stole. They didn't "make" anything.

Don't get me wrong though. That's funny as fuck. Though I'm sure I wouldn't be seeing the humor in the situation had I actually invested in whatever the hell this is/was meant to be.

No idea how much money they stole, but I applaud their efforts. Its an unregulated and open market at the moment.

penis

Their ICO wallet (0x931D387731bBbC988B312206c74F77D004D6B84b) has received a total of 2.94528 ETH, which isn't really all that much.

Well, for a small fake website and 5 bucks for a girl who writes their website on the boobs with a banana in her hand (still catches me :D) it's not that bad. I hope the people who invested in this learn from their mistakes...

That's ballsy :)

I suppose that is one way to exit scam people. I kinda feel bad for the people that thought this was a good thing and lost money.

But I never seen one where they updated their website just to say penis. Haha that is kinda humorous but sad though. Then again its a first for everything I suppose. But Remember to do you research and not to fall for these things. Just friendly community advice <3

That is very comical but I don't think it went out in nearly the blaze of glory as bitconnect. That one is for the books considering they now have 2 coins that are actually trading and people are buying into it. I think many are in hopes of some sort of long term recovery. It's nuts.
