We could use the blockchain to make donations more traceable and prevent foreign meddling as the transaction amounts will be public and time stamped instead of cash in a white envelope. Depending on how stringent you want the rules you could have a KYC check embedded in the transaction.

My argument against the complaint that anonymous sources are funding candidates through untraceable money is that that is ALREADY THE NORM here in the U.S. Since the Citizen's United decision, money if free speech. Dark money is therefore effortlessly given to Political Action Committees (PACS) where anyone can anonymously give any amount to anyone. If anything, the fear is that the giver seems to have the ability to pull strings in other parts of the Party's power structure which gives them even more leverage to actually direct how their money will be used in any given election.
I'm not anti-government or a conspiracy theorist. But this argument against crypto screams that such usage is not the problem. Some free people will always misuse whatever is available while we live trying to build a social contract that energizes all people to be good or become better in building world communities.

I too called for a slight retracement today as the RSI, MACD and Bollinger Bands were all showing an overextended price. Right now we are in an oversold zone and support has already propped up the price in the low $5,400 area so I expect a small consolidation today before pretty much a repeat of what we saw today again. Alt-coins slowly losing dominance to BTC before we have a sharp move upwards.

In South Africa, we have a pretty large internal remittance market which is dominated by the supermarkets. Initiatives like these could really disrupt the market especially since they making a killing on transaction fees since its a high frequency of exchanges
