Twitter CEO reaffirms his position on bitcoin as a global currency

During the 'Consensus 2018', the CEO of Twitter and Square Inc., Jack Dorsey, strengthened his position in favor of cryptocurrencies, ratifying that they will constitute the official payment means in the future.

Dorsey said that, despite not having any security about what the future of the digital financial market will bring, he is confident that cryptocurrencies will be in the payment landscape, and that he expects bitcoin to be at its peak.

In this regard, Dorsey added that:

This technology will impose a radical change in our world and can have endless positive results. We have to do the work to educate regulators and educate the SEC on why this technology is important.

In fact, Square Inc., a company focused on development of payment systems and financial services, has made payments with bitcoins (BTC) since 2014, in addition to authorizing transactions with BTC through its mobile application "Cash App" .

Although not everyone at Square Inc. shares Dorsey's enthusiastic vision of digital currencies. Moreover, the majority of the members of the board of directors of the company have shown a strong stance on the cryptoactives, especially based on the history of criminal debauchery linked to them.

Despite the adverse opinions, Dorsey reaffirms his confidence that "bitcoin will be the only legitimate digital currency in the future. The internet will have its own legal currency and the world will have a single means of payment, "he added.

Other defenders of digital currencies have taken the lead by announcing the benefits they bring to the modern market and warning that regulatory measures should go hand in hand with their development and not to stop them.

In this sense, on May 4, the finance minister of Luxembourg, Pierre Gramegna, said that the market has enough space to accept cryptocurrencies, which, in his opinion, can coexist with fiduciary money.

Another supporter we have is Tim Draper, best known for having supported large companies such as Skype, Tesla and Hotmail, and who strengthened his position on the scope of bitcoin today, estimating that its potential is more powerful than the entire internet.
