Hi,

Gonna keep it clean and simple!

When starting crypto it is all about Researching Coins and trying to make good investments (and trying not to be scammed). When reading articles you'll encounter a lot of acronyms and abbreviations. I'll explain some below.

  • DYOR! (Do Your Own Research.)
It's easy to trust on someone else, but don't follow someone blindfolded, everybody wants to make quick satoshi, especially scammers! So beware and DYOR!
  • FOMO
Fear of missing out or FoMO is "a pervasive apprehension that others might be having rewarding experiences from which one is absent".

  • FUD (Fear, uncertainty and doubt)
FUD is generally a strategy to influence perception by disseminating negative and dubious or false information and a manifestation of the appeal to fear.

  • PnD (Pump and Dump)
A lot of coins get pumped, if you see a coin goes 500% without any new releases or annoucements thats cool when you were already in it, don't FOMO. Something that goes up so fast comes down even faster. Which brings us to the next abbreviation.

  • Whale
The term “whale” is frequently used to describe the big money Bitcoin players that show their hand in the Bitcoin market. They can therefore easily pump and dump coins affecting the price by a lot.
