What's going on everyone? So I'm going to kind of start fresh here and use this as a regularly updated journal to keep track of what I'm doing in the cryptocurrency world, how my portfolio is doing, and any new coins I have recently purchased. I'm currently a student so crypto is my only source of income right now (maybe it will be forever if I make smart moves) so I'm definitely not a crypto whale but I have made some good profits since I dove in, in mid September.
We'll start with my portfolio. I'm going to go ahead and give all totals because I want to be transparent and really document what I'm doing. My portfolio is as follows:
Ripple (XRP) - 2763. This is my first born, the first crypto I ever bought.
Electroneum (ETN) - 16000. I invested in the ICO. Once the coins were finally released I sold about a third of them to cash out some profit and then a few more to buy a different coin. These remaining 16000 will sit tight for the long term.
Verge (XVG) - 5781. This is what I bought with some of my ETN. I bought in pretty recently so the price hasn't moved much since I dove in.
Stellar (XLM) - 748. I really should've bought way more when it was around $0.02 but I was too stubborn and saw them as the XRP rival. Finally caved and bought at around $0.25.
ARK - 48. Not much to say about this one. I just liked it from a circulating supply and current price standpoint, and I will also be earning more gradually as a result of voting for a delegate.
NEO - 3. I just liked the fact that holding NEO pays you GAS, even if it's a very small amount.
Alright so there's my portfolio, currently worth about $11,500 CAD or 0.71 BTC. That's honestly the lowest it has been in quite some time in terms of CAD, I'm sure the rest of you know how I'm feeling if you hold pretty much any of the coins that I hold.
I also have a Genesis Mining contract locked and loaded and that will start paying me in March. I purchased 7.5TH back whenever their last sale was so that should pay me between $4,000 and $5,000 per year, a tasty little treat.
Alright now for the part that will make some of you hate me. I am a faithful Bitconnect user. I currently have an active loan of $1,010 and I have been doing a mix of cashing out and reinvesting. Basically I am just going to check it once a week and I will alternate between cashing out and reinvesting. I know the math says that I'll make more if I reinvest every $10 I make but I really don't want like a thousand little $10 loans, that will eventually make it pretty much impossible to use my lending wallet as tiny amounts would constantly be coming into it. I also took part in the BitconnectX ICO and purchased about 8 BCCX tokens. I really have no idea if that was a wise choice but I didn't break the bank buying into it so I'm not stressing.
My most recent investment was into the DavorCoin platform (yes 2 lending platforms, double hate coming my way). Yes these platforms are risky but I honestly don't believe they are scams. They're very honest with what they're doing with our money, they just have to not screw up. My current active loan on DavorCoin is just shy of $1,200 and the payouts have been much higher than Bitconnect.. This will probably change down the road and the payouts will be more similar, we'll see. My plan is to use my earnings to purchase 1 DavorCoin which I will stake to earn more DavorCoin. After that I will not reinvest until I've earned roughly what I put into the platform and at that point I will start reinvesting for the forseeable future.
I think that's everything, if you want to read more info about everything I'm into check out my website crypto-referrals.weebly.com. I also have a twitter devoted to crypto called @CryptoMatt1.
Thanks for reading everyone, talk to y'all later.
