Analyst opinions on this are split in half. Technologists seem to agree that the model offers a superior currency that should by all means replace fiat cash. They say that the limited supply and decentralization concepts make it digital gold while fiat cash is only paper.

This theory proposes that as soon as the world realizes the potential of this technology, the value of cash will collapse and the inevitable would happen. They say that any one of the current crypto coins will them become a global currency enabling trade on an international scale. This would put an end to inflation and all other shortfalls from the fiat model.

But the opposing side is anticipating an implosion of the current craze. They say that money is essentially a measure of value, store of value and medium of exchange and the according to them the volatility of cryptocurrency makes it hard to match up.

The future however remains to be seen. But one thing is for sure, the crypto trend will be around for a considerable while
