Bitcoin Has Reached the Moon ($10,000).

We're here. We did it. Bitcoin (BTC) has now reached the $10,000 price point, which is considered by a multitude of users to be the very definition of "the moon."

$10,000 is the Moon

Before we go any further, we have to clarify one thing: $10,000 is the very definition of 'the moon.' As argued on Reddit, in the beginning, $10,000 was the highest number anyone dared to aim at.

We've already hit the moon. But there's always the stars.

Since the start, Bitcoin has been unwavering in its quest to replace and redefine "money." It took a serious amount of work to get to where we are now.

Enjoy your Meal!

As with the rest of Reddit, I would like to wish a tasty meal upon [/u/calaber24p].

Something very cool is that Bitcoin is staying around $10k right now. A large expectation was that sell orders set for that price point would slam in together, but it looks like many have realized that 'selling Bitcoin' is one of the worst mistakes you could make.

Too Late to Buy?

The age-old Bitcoin question, resented by old investors and pondered by new ones, "Is it too late to buy?"

Technically speaking, of course not; there are more exchanges than ever for Bitcoin now.

But speaking from a market perspective...still no! This question has been asked at $100. $200. $500. $1000. $4000. $9000. And now, even more will be inquired at $10,000 but the truth still remains.

We are at an all-time high right now. This means we don't care when you bought in— you've made a profit. Is this an uncommon occurrence though? Obviously not, if you've seen the Bitcoin graph. Bitcoin has been consistently paving new all-time highs throughout its existence. From every perspective, the answer is no, it is not too late to buy, and if you buy in now, it could become one of the best decisions of your life.

I don't have a spare $10,000

Guess what? You can buy a part of a Bitcoin!

A concept that I don't think is understood well by new buyers is that you don't have to buy 1 Bitcoin. The smallest denomination of Bitcoin is the satoshi, equivalent to 0.00000001 Bitcoin (currently $0.0001). Buy whatever you can with your spare money, and think later.

So what's next?

In the coming months, more work will start on Bitcoin than ever. The Lightning Network, the planned scaling solution for Bitcoin, is still being built and will likely kick in soon. Bitcoin has reached the moon already. But there's lots beyond there, and Bitcoin can't wait to start hurling through interstellar space.

What an exciting time we live in. I can't wait til I can start using crypto to pay for services and stuff. I hate pending transactions on my debit card.

I think it could be time to lock in some profits and look to go the other way.. Kraken here I come as you allow short and margin :)

Warren Buffett

Buy when everyone else is selling. “We’ve put a lot of money to work during the chaos of the last two years. It’s been an ideal period for investors: A climate of fear is their best friend … Big opportunities come infrequently. When it’s raining gold, reach for a bucket, not a thimble.”

Don’t buy when everyone else is buying. “Those who invest only when commentators are upbeat end up paying a heavy price for meaningless reassurance,” Mr. Buffett wrote. The obvious corollary is to be patient. You can only buy when everyone else is selling if you have held your fire when everyone was buying.

Liked your post dident know that the term too the moon was set at 10k now the next stop is andromeda

Check this link for a detailed explanation/discussion on why that is!

When it's gonna be a correction? Cause it looks like an eternal rise? xD xD

Exactly! If you think Bitcoin is dipping or correcting, just zoom out :P

Now I just need to figure out HOW to buy the Bitcoins.

Not a problem! Check out https://coinbase.com if you're a complete newbie to bitcoins and cryptocurrency. Otherwise, another recommended exchange is Gemini (or Kraken) for newbies, one of my personal favorites. If you want to get into altcoins/other cryptos as well, Poloniex is a good one, and Binance tops the charts there.
