I'm almost blind myself so it's very rare that I notice two almost similar words getting mixed up... I don't need reading glasses with computer screens but I see better with one eye closed. It's all about contrast between text and the background.

Yep. I think taking breaks every hour or so and walking around would likely help things out. I get lost in time in front of these things sometimes, and my eyes suffer because of it.
