Profitable trading: When to buy and when to sell Bitcoin

in bitcoin •  7 years ago  (edited)

First of all, as in all the markets, the most important factor that determines the price for bitcoin is anticipation. The news is that what makes the expectations end with good or bad ends.

But;

If you record human behavior, you can make predictions with sufficient data.
Let's make a very simple example. How much did you buy the last bitcoin you bought? Let's say it's $ 2500. What do you feel when the price of bitcoin drops to 2400? What if it costs $ 2,000? and then $ 1000? and then go up to $ 1,700? First you will be sorry, then $ 1700 will be the opportunity for you and you will start to make purchases. But you do not know the future. Maybe it will fall again?

Psilocologists such as Daniel Kahneman (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daniel_Kahneman) have shown that the "human" we call very clever does not always make the right decisions mathematically.

He wants to sell it after a while. He wants to take it after a while. If you are recording these times; after a while with the help of statistics, mathematics and technology; you can also find consistent estimates.

Let's start:

The secret that everyone knows: Bollinger Bands. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bollinger_Bands)
Shows standard deviation in price. ( commonly used values: up-down: %2, period: 13 )
If the price falls below the lower band of Bollinger; It will rise.
If the price goes above the Bollinger's top band, it will fall.

Very plain. If it gets too high, it falls. If it is too low, it will rise.

The important point here is; the time interval of the calculation and the percentage of the standard deviation.

Here comes the secret that no one knows:
If you follow the daily "Bitcoin" charts, choose period: 27 days and choose standard deviation: 2.5 percent. Examine the relationship between Bollinger Bands and price.
You will be amazed.

Hold on and keep practicing without being disgusted. If the price is above the upper band Sell. If the price is below the lower band, Buy.
