The 1.13 update for Brave Browser on iOS will introduce ads thanks to Brave Rewards. Developers are now working on the implementation. According to the Github development page they need to solve 21 more issues before the build is ready for release. The deadline for these fixes is November 6th. In conclusion Brave Rewards could be introduced in iOS around early December.
Brave Browser is a privacy-focused browser which blocks ads and trackers. However, the developers are introducing Brave Rewards. This is an advertisement program which tailors ads to the user's profile without sharing this information with third parties. Users who watch ads, earn BAT.
Brave Browser is available for desktops and mobile devices. The browser is completely free and has integrated privacy features. In addition Brave also has integrated cryptocurrency wallets. Ads through Brave Rewards in iOS and other platforms are private, but still based on the user's location.
According to the latest posts on Reddit, watching 20 advertisements earns users approximately 1 BAT. One BAT is currently worth $0.22.
Brave Browser is growing its user base
In September 2018 the browser had 4 million users, and now more than 8 million people worldwide use Brave Browser every month. The privacy-focused browser is getting more traction as 2.8 million people use it daily.
Users earn BAT based on their monthly activity, while they also donate BAT to their most visited websites. Content creators can only earn BAT when they are verified publishers.
Currently there are more then 290 thousand content creators. Most of them are on social platforms like Youtube (200 thousand), Twitch (15 thousand) and Twitter (28 thousand). There are 33 thousand websites that are confirmed content creators in the Brave ecosystem, which includes this one.
Download Brave here, and support (this) content creator(s) without being annoyed by ads.
