Game studio Satoshi.Games announced a new battle royale game in which players can win or lose bitcoin based on their performance. The game's name is Lightnite and it uses Bitcoin's Lightning Network for very small and fast payments over the Bitcoin network. The studio announced the game over the weekend at a Lightning Network conference.
The Spanish game studio is implementing several types of crypto-related features. Players can earn bitcoin by shooting other players. However, they will lose bitcoin when they get shot. Players can sell some of the items found in the game for bitcoin as well. On top of that they can withdraw the bitcoin they earned in Lightnite immediately.
Gamers can also play Lightnite without spending bitcoin. However, once a gamer connects his Bitcoin Lightning Network wallet, like BlueWallet, they can get in on the bitcoin earning action. All they need is a couple of satoshi to get started. Satoshi.Games sees their game as a way to introduce people to cryptocurrencies:

The game is comparable with other battle royale games. It will offer a solo mode and a team mode. Each of these modes can be played in two versions: one with bitcoin implementation and one without. It will be available on PlayStation, Steam, iOS and Android. The studio also wants to release the game on their own distribution platform Elixer.
Crowdfunding Lightnite
Satoshi.Games is currently running a crowdfunding campaign for their battle royale shooter. They are seeking 50 thousand dollars of funding. They expect to launch Lightnite into Early Access in November 2020, followed by a beta in January 2021. One month later the bitcoin battle royale game sis coming to a variety of platforms. By contributing 20 USD or more, gamers can get early access to the game.
